Industrial Parks Continue to Drive Ninh Binh’s Economic Growth 2026

Despite ongoing global economic uncertainties, industrial parks (IPs) in Ninh Binh Province have continued to demonstrate their role as the primary engine of local economic growth. Strong performances in manufacturing, exports, investment attraction, and fiscal contributions during the first half of 2026 highlight the sector’s growing importance in supporting the province’s ambition of achieving double-digit economic growth.industrial-parks.webp

Industrial Parks Make a Significant Contribution to GRDP

According to the Ninh Binh Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Authority, although global markets continue to face weak demand, rising logistics costs, and increasing trade competition, the province has maintained impressive economic momentum.

During the first six months of 2026:

  • Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) reached an estimated VND 163.68 trillion, up 11.44% year-on-year.
  • The industry and construction sector generated approximately VND 89.445 trillion, accounting for 47.44% of the province’s GRDP.
  • Industrial parks remained the largest contributor to industrial value creation and economic expansion.

These figures reaffirm the strategic role of industrial parks in Ninh Binh’s long-term industrialization and economic development strategy.

Revenue, Exports, and State Budget Contributions Increase Strongly

Businesses operating within industrial parks continued to deliver outstanding business performance.

In the first half of 2026:

  • Revenue reached approximately VND 252.924 trillion, an increase of 14% compared to the same period in 2025.
  • Export value totaled US$14.98 billion, up 91.3%.
  • Import value reached US$16.04 billion, increasing 108.7%.
  • State budget contributions totaled approximately VND 11.872 trillion, up 13.1% year-on-year.

During the second quarter of 2026 alone:

  • Revenue exceeded VND 159 trillion.
  • Exports surpassed US$11 billion.
  • Budget contributions reached approximately VND 7.905 trillion.

These results further demonstrate that industrial parks remain the driving force behind Ninh Binh’s industrial production and export growth.

Manufacturing Output Continues to Expand

Several key manufacturing sectors recorded remarkable production growth.

Major products included:

  • Laptop computers: More than 1.046 million units, up 171.3%.
  • Trucks: Nearly 5,000 units, increasing 50.3%.
  • Garments: Up approximately 30%.
  • Motorcycles: Increased 4.5%.
  • Camera modules and touchscreen components: Over 103 million units, up 6.8%.

These achievements were supported by major manufacturers operating in Ninh Binh, including:

  • Hyundai Thanh Cong
  • Honda Vietnam
  • Seoul Semiconductor Vina
  • Wistron Infocomm Vietnam
  • QMH Computer
  • Youngone
  • AVC
  • Sumi

These companies continue to play an important role in global manufacturing supply chains.

Industrial Parks Create Employment for More Than 230,000 Workers

Beyond economic growth, industrial parks have become one of the province’s largest employment generators.

Currently, Ninh Binh’s industrial parks and economic zones provide employment for:

  • More than 230,000 direct workers.
  • Millions of indirect jobs throughout the supply chain.

The average monthly income ranges from VND 7.5 million to VND 8 million per employee.

Meanwhile, the provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Authority has coordinated with vocational schools and enterprises to recruit workers for expanding manufacturers such as:

  • QMH Computer
  • MCNEX Vina
  • Santa Clara
  • Ramatex Nam Dinh
  • Viet Thuan Garment

These recruitment efforts help ensure a stable labor supply for continued industrial expansion.

Expanding Industrial Land Creates New Growth Opportunities

Alongside production growth, Ninh Binh is actively expanding its industrial development space to accommodate future investment.

The province currently has:

  • Ninh Co Economic Zone, covering more than 80,318 hectares.
  • 32 industrial parks with a combined planned area exceeding 9,056 hectares.

Among them:

  • 20 industrial parks are already operational.
  • 12 industrial parks are under infrastructure development.

As of the end of May 2026:

  • More than 1,303 hectares had been cleared, reaching 51.8% of the planned land clearance target.
  • Industrial parks such as Hai Long and Minh Chau had completed site clearance.
  • Several others had achieved over 95% completion and were accelerating technical infrastructure construction.

The growing supply of serviced industrial land provides strong competitive advantages for attracting new investment.

FDI Attraction Continues to Accelerate

Investment attraction remained highly positive during the first half of 2026.

The provincial authority approved:

  • 50 new investment projects, including:
    • 21 FDI projects
    • 29 domestic projects

    • US$783 million
    • VND 983.6 billion

Total additional registered investment exceeded VND 29.225 trillion, equivalent to 119.3% of the province’s annual target.

Newly registered FDI alone reached US$981.27 million, achieving 115.4% of the annual plan.

These figures demonstrate the increasing attractiveness of Ninh Binh’s investment environment.

More Than 1,100 Investment Projects Are Operating

To date, Ninh Binh’s industrial parks host:

  • 1,165 active secondary investment projects, including:
    • 567 FDI projects
    • 598 domestic investment projects

Total registered investment has reached:

  • US$11.255 billion
  • VND 137.812 trillion

Many major manufacturers continue expanding production, further strengthening the province’s industrial capacity and competitiveness.

Focusing on High-Quality Industrial Development

According to the Ninh Binh Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Authority, the province will continue prioritizing:

  • Accelerating industrial park infrastructure development.
  • Resolving land clearance challenges.
  • Attracting high-tech industries.
  • Expanding supporting industries.
  • Prioritizing environmentally friendly projects.
  • Encouraging investments with high added value.

This strategy aligns with Vietnam’s nationwide transition toward green, smart, and sustainable industrial parks.

Outlook

With strong growth in manufacturing, exports, investment attraction, and industrial infrastructure development, industrial parks are expected to remain the cornerstone of Ninh Binh’s economic expansion. Continued investment in industrial land, modern infrastructure, and high-tech industries will strengthen the province’s competitiveness, attract higher-quality FDI, and support sustainable economic development in the years ahead.

Conclusion

Industrial parks have firmly established themselves as the primary driver of Ninh Binh Province’s economic growth, delivering impressive performances in revenue, exports, investment attraction, and employment during the first half of 2026. As the province continues expanding industrial infrastructure, increasing the supply of serviced land, and attracting high-value manufacturing projects, its industrial sector is well positioned to sustain long-term growth and reinforce Ninh Binh’s role as one of Vietnam’s emerging industrial investment destinations.
