Vietnam Remains an Attractive Destination for Global FDI

At the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the leadership of IDICO Corporation shared strategic development plans related to industrial parks, green energy, and industrial infrastructure.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Mai, Chairwoman of IDICO Corporation, the global economy is currently facing increasing uncertainties caused by:

  • geopolitical tensions
  • global inflation pressures
  • trade tariff policies
  • supply chain restructuring

These factors have made international investors more cautious when expanding manufacturing operations.

However, Vietnam continues to stand out as one of the region’s brightest investment destinations thanks to:

  • stable macroeconomic fundamentals
  • strong GDP growth
  • controlled inflation
  • flexible government policies
  • improving investment environment

In 2025, Vietnam’s GDP grew by 8.02%, while realized FDI reached its highest level in the past five years.

According to IDICO’s leadership, Vietnam’s economic stability amid global volatility is reinforcing the country’s position as a long-term investment hub.

IDICO Forecasts FDI Growth from Late 2026

Mr. Dang Chinh Trung, CEO of IDICO Corporation, predicted that:

FDI inflows into Vietnam could accelerate again from late 2026 or early 2027

as investor confidence improves and global supply chain expansion plans become more active.

This trend is expected to create significant opportunities for industrial real estate developers like IDICO.

Vietnam’s Industrial Real Estate Market Is Changing Rapidly

According to IDICO, Vietnam’s industrial real estate market is no longer focused solely on:

traditional industrial land leasing

but is shifting toward:

integrated industrial ecosystems

including:

  • ready-built factories
  • logistics warehouses
  • industrial services
  • modern infrastructure
  • green energy solutions

This transition reflects growing demand from investors who want to:

  • shorten project implementation time
  • reduce initial investment costs
  • optimize operations
  • minimize legal and infrastructure risks

In the increasingly competitive race to attract FDI, industrial parks that offer “one-stop solutions” are gaining significant advantages.

IDICO Expands Ready-Built Factory and Warehouse Segment

To capture this trend, IDICO is adjusting its business strategy from:

traditional industrial land leasing

toward:

ready-built factories and warehouses

with flexible sizes ranging from:

  • 2,000 square meters
  • to 10,000 square meters

This model helps clients:

  • reduce upfront investment costs
  • launch operations more quickly
  • test the market before expanding production

This is becoming a major trend in modern industrial real estate.

Goal of Developing 1 Million m² of Industrial Space

IDICO aims to develop:

approximately 1 million square meters of ready-built factories and logistics space

within the next:

3 to 5 years

At the same time, the company will implement phased infrastructure investments to:

  • control costs
  • reduce market risks
  • optimize cash flow

The company also emphasized that maintaining:

  • low financial leverage
  • strong cash reserves

helps IDICO remain resilient amid global economic volatility.

IDICO Accelerates Major Industrial Park Projects

Tan Phuoc Industrial Park – Dong Thap

One of IDICO’s key projects is:

Tan Phuoc Industrial Park

in Dong Thap Province

with a total area of:

470 hectares

Including:

  • Phase 1 covering 360 hectares
  • completed legal procedures and land clearance

The remaining:

110 hectares

is expected to be completed during 2026.

According to the plan, the project could:

sign memorandums of understanding with investors

by late Q3 or early Q4 of 2026.

Vinh Quang Industrial Park in Hai Phong

In Hai Phong, IDICO is developing:

Vinh Quang Industrial Park

with Phase 1 covering approximately:

350 hectares

Currently, the company is prioritizing development of:

164 hectares

Legal procedures and site clearance have been largely completed.

IDICO expects to:

begin signing lease agreements by late 2026

with strong revenue contributions expected from 2027 onward.

My Xuan A Port to Create Long-Term Revenue

Besides industrial parks, IDICO is also strengthening its logistics and port infrastructure segment.

The project:

My Xuan A Port

covers more than:

50 hectares

and is located near the:

Cai Mep – Thi Vai port cluster

The company plans to:

cooperate with strategic partners

to improve operational capacity.

Currently, procedures related to:

  • fire prevention systems
  • project acceptance

are being finalized.

The port is expected to:

begin operations in Q2/2026

and generate stable long-term revenue for IDICO.

IDICO Cooperates with Vingroup in Renewable Energy

One of the most notable announcements at the shareholders’ meeting was IDICO’s collaboration with:

Vingroup subsidiaries

including:

  • VinEnergo
  • VinFast
  • GSM

to research and deploy:

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

and

Direct Power Purchase Agreements (DPPA)

DPPA Considered a Major Growth Driver

According to IDICO’s CEO:

the DPPA mechanism

will become a major catalyst helping the company:

  • optimize power operations
  • expand green energy solutions
  • improve industrial park efficiency

With more than:

4,400 hectares of industrial park land

IDICO possesses significant potential for:

  • rooftop solar power
  • battery storage systems
  • renewable energy infrastructure

Expanding Rooftop Solar and EV Charging Systems

Currently, IDICO owns:

more than 13 MW of rooftop solar power

In 2026, the company plans to install an additional:

20–30 MW

bringing total capacity to:

33–43 MW

At the same time, the company is developing:

  • EV charging stations
  • battery storage systems
  • green energy infrastructure

within its industrial parks.

Floating Solar Potential at Hydropower Reservoir

In addition to rooftop solar projects, IDICO is evaluating:

Srok Phu Mieng hydropower reservoir

with approximately:

1,500 hectares of water surface

as a major opportunity for developing:

floating solar power projects

This could become one of the company’s future growth segments.

IDICO’s 2026 Business Targets

At the conclusion of the shareholders’ meeting, all proposals from the Board of Directors were approved with high consensus.

For 2026, IDICO targets:

Consolidated Revenue:

  • VND 9.474 trillion

An increase of:

  • 5% compared to the previous year

Pre-tax Profit:

  • over VND 2.9 trillion

remaining relatively stable compared to 2025.

IDICO Aims to Build a Green Industrial Ecosystem

IDICO’s strategy is no longer focused solely on:

  • industrial land leasing

but aims to develop:

a modern integrated green industrial ecosystem

including:

  • industrial parks
  • logistics
  • seaports
  • renewable energy
  • ready-built factories
  • smart infrastructure

This aligns with global ESG trends and the sustainability requirements of international corporations.

Conclusion

As Vietnam prepares for a new wave of FDI growth, IDICO is demonstrating a strong transformation strategy to capture emerging opportunities.

Through:

  • expanding industrial land banks
  • developing ready-built warehouses
  • investing in logistics and ports
  • promoting renewable energy
  • cooperating with Vingroup

IDICO is gradually building a comprehensive and modern industrial ecosystem.

With strong land reserves, stable finances, and a green development orientation, the company is expected to continue playing an important role in Vietnam’s industrial growth and FDI attraction in the coming years.
